What is “Kugani”?

“Kugani” is an Okinawan word meaning “noble,” “excellent,” or “something precious that shines.” This expression has been passed down since the days of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
The restaurant's garden incorporates stones that survived the 2019 fire at Shurijo Castle, connecting the space to Okinawa’s rich history.
